Planet Kasper

Punch & Judy is a staple of puppeteering tradition. But it is Kaspar that appears most often in Peter Schumann’s shows. Concerning him, Schumann writes “Kaspar is an older character than Punch, a Persian character of ancient origin and not quite as direct as Punch. But he is a fool, an obvious fool, he makes fun of human arrangements and tries to solve problems by giggling his way out of difficult situations.”
