About the Author
After working for five years in a residential setting then teaching for twenty-five years in urban public schools, Vince Sgambati turned to writing full-time. Vince’s debut novel, Most Precious Blood (Guernica Editions, 2018), received an IPPY award for Best First Book of Fiction, a KIRKUS Star Review, was a Foreword Indies Finalist in Literary Fiction, and was listed as recommended reading by the Working Class Studies Association. His collection of short stories, Undertow of Memory (Fomite Press, 2020), includes stories awarded by the Katherine Ann Porter Prize for Fiction and the Saints and Sinners LGBTQ+ Fiction Contest.
