About the Author

Bill Davis’ biography only glances the many surfaces and interiors of his writing.  It’s not so easy to characterize, that voice: sometimes sardonic; sometimes drilled into granular detail; sometimes verging on synesthesia, sometimes extremely tender; often playful, colloquial, and cerebral at the same time.  Culture, what humans have made in and of the world, is his playground, as language, with all its mysterious contradiction, is his medium.
